Resilience
Cyber Resilience
Resilient cloud architecture and recovery proven by exercise.
One design keeps critical services running through an outage, a ransomware attack, or the loss of a facility. Every design maps to UAE and Saudi frameworks as advisory alignment.
- Tolerance
- Failover
- Tested recovery
- Best for
- Critical services with a recovery plan but no measured proof they can recover within an agreed tolerance.
- You leave with
- Recovery objectives per critical service, a resilient design, and evidence from a recovery exercise.
The challenge
Recovery plans that have never been proven
Continuity is now a board question rather than an IT one, yet most plans are filed and rarely exercised.
-
$8M
The cost of a breach here
The average Middle East breach, with lost business the largest share at $3.57 million.

-
28%
Confidence without proof
90% of organizations say they can recover, yet only 28% of ransomware victims fully recovered their data.

1 in 5
Outages start outside the plan
One in five major outages cost more than $1 million, and third party providers account for about two thirds of publicly reported outages.

Regulators measure tolerance, not intent
The UAE Central Bank Operational Risk Management Regulation requires a disruption tolerance for each critical operation and tested recovery plans, and SAMA and the NCA set the same direction.

The underlying constraint is ownership. Continuity sits between infrastructure, security, and the business, so each assumes another has tested it.
The solution
Resilience designed in and recovery proven
Agree a tolerance for each critical service, then design the architecture and the recovery process to meet it.
What changes
- A continuity plan on paperbecomes Recovery rehearsed on a schedule
- Backups attackers can reachbecomes Isolated, immutable backups
- One zone or one regionbecomes Failover across zones, and regions where residency allows
- Recovery assumedbecomes Results measured against an agreed tolerance
How AI is used
AI traces dependencies
AI assisted mapping reads configuration, network flows, and infrastructure code to trace each critical service to everything it relies on.
AI flags the weak points
It flags single points of failure and services with no tested recovery path.
Senior review decides
Which weak points matter, and the order they are fixed. You keep the infrastructure as code and runbooks.
Capabilities
Four capabilities, one resilience design
-
Resilience strategy tied to business impact
Business impact analysis for each critical service.
- Recovery time, recovery point, and tolerance agreed per service
- A roadmap the board can approve and the regulator can trace
- Aligned to CBUAE, SAMA, and NCA expectations
Solves Regulators measuring tolerance, not intent
-
Landing zones designed for failover
Multi account foundations on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or hybrid.
- Workloads across zones, and regions where residency permits
- Backups in isolated, immutable storage
- Failover runbooks written alongside the architecture
Solves Outages that start outside the plan
-
Hardening after migration
Controls reviewed against the landing zone baseline once workloads land.
- Identity, secrets, and encryption
- Segmentation and detective controls
- Threat detection that feeds the security operations you already run
Solves The cost of a breach
-
Recovery that is tested, not assumed
Real services restored from backup into a clean environment.
- Time and data loss measured against the agreed tolerance
- Results and fixes recorded as evidence
- Rehearsed on a schedule
Solves Confidence without proof
How an engagement runs
Discovery and assessment
Identify critical services, their dependencies, and where recovery has never been tested.
Design
Agree tolerances, then design the failover architecture, backup isolation, and recovery runbooks.
Build or migrate
Implement the foundation and hardening in waves, each with agreed outcomes.
Enable and hand over
Run the first recovery exercise with your team and hand over the evidence and the runbooks.
Scope and commercial model are tailored to your requirement.
Why vistraXa
Built on two decades of enterprise cloud and security
Founded on more than 20 years of enterprise technology experience, including leading cloud adoption, migration, and security programmes at AWS for financial services, public sector, retail, and telecommunications organizations across Europe and the Middle East.
Four disciplines, one design
Architecture, security, and migration are decided together, so resilience is part of the target state.
Cloud neutral
Where a second region or platform is the right answer for continuity, the assessment says so.
Regional and regulatory fluency
Advisory alignment to CBUAE, SAMA, and NCA, and to UK FCA and PRA operational resilience and EU DORA where they apply.
Based in Dubai, working across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, and wider EMEA.About vistraXa

Frequently asked questions
We already have a disaster recovery plan. What does this add?
Most plans document intent. This engagement measures the plan against an agreed tolerance for each critical service and exercises it end to end, which usually surfaces missing dependencies such as identity or DNS.
Residency rules keep our data in country. Where do we fail over to?
That is an architecture decision, settled during the assessment with your compliance function. Options include multiple zones in country, a second in country region or provider, or an encrypted copy abroad where UAE PDPL, Saudi PDPL, and your regulator permit it.
Will this satisfy our regulator or auditor?
Tolerances, test results, and remediation records are mapped to the CBUAE regulation, SAMA, the NCA controls, and UAE Information Assurance Standards as advisory alignment. Accountability stays with your board, and vistraXa does not certify compliance.
Do you run recovery or monitoring for us afterwards?
No. vistraXa designs, builds, and exercises the recovery process with your team, then hands over runbooks so your team or your chosen provider runs it.
What does it cost?
Each engagement is scoped to a defined outcome and priced as fixed scope wherever the work allows. The running cost of the resilient design is modelled during the assessment, before anything is built.
