Application Security with AWS Continuum
Continuous application security, from threat model to verified fix.
Built on AWS Continuum, formerly AWS Security Agent.
Validate every meaningful release and close what that validation finds. AWS Continuum is the testing engine, and vistraXa owns everything around it.
- Test
- Triage
- Verified fix
- Best for
- A production application where releases outpace security validation and findings do not reliably reach closure.
- You leave with
- A threat model, a pipeline review, proven findings, and a route to verified fixes.
- Best first step
- Application Security Review or AI Security Review
The challenge
Release velocity has outrun security validation
Organizations ship software faster than they can validate it, and a breach here costs well above the global average.
-
$8M
The cost of a breach here
The average Middle East breach, against a global average of $4.99 million.

-
#1
The application is the front door
Vulnerability exploitation overtook stolen credentials as the top entry point, the first time in 19 years.

-
75%
Known risk ships anyway
Organizations knowingly deploy vulnerable code, and only 9% fix more than 90% of their vulnerabilities within 90 days.

Testing is rationed
Manual testing is booked weeks ahead, so it covers a few critical systems a year and everything else ships on trust.
The underlying constraint is capacity rather than tooling. Releases are continuous, validation is occasional, and attackers work in the gap.
The solution
Continuous validation, accountable ownership
Continuum proves what is exploitable, and vistraXa owns everything from scope to verified fix.
What changes
- A few systems tested a yearbecomes Every meaningful release validated
- A queue of suspected issuesbecomes Findings proven by exploitation
- Ranked by scanner severitybecomes Ranked by business impact
- A handoff nobody ownsbecomes Fixes in the pull request, closure verified
How AI is used
Continuum reads the application
It builds context from design documents, source code, and business rules.
It proves what it finds
Attack paths run only against targets whose ownership you have verified, and any autonomy it gets is set by you.
Senior review decides
Which findings carry business risk, and the order they get fixed. You keep the configuration, pipeline integration, and runbooks.
| AWS Continuum, at machine speed | vistraXa, accountable for the outcome |
|---|---|
| Builds application context and executes tailored, multi step attack chains | Sets scope, rules of engagement, residency boundaries, and cadence |
| Returns exploitation proven findings with CVSS scores and remediation code | Judges business impact, removes noise, and sequences what gets fixed first |
| Revalidates individual findings and reports each one as active or resolved | Works fixes through with your developers and confirms that closure holds |
| Tests verified targets on AWS, other clouds, and on premises | Maps evidence to your frameworks and hands over the process |
Capabilities
Four capabilities, one release cycle
-
Threat modelling at design time
Continuum threat modelling, in preview, generates STRIDE threat models from design documents or code.
- Review run by vistraXa
- Output turned into security requirements
- Done before code is written, when a fix costs least
Solves The cost of a breach
-
Context aware penetration testing
Continuum tests web applications and APIs against the OWASP Top 10 and business logic flaws.
- Testing behind authentication and multi factor login
- Each finding proven by exploitation, with a CVSS score
- On demand, from a few critical systems to the portfolio
Solves The application as the front door
-
Code scanning and fixes in the pull request
Continuum code scanning, in preview, reviews repositories and pull requests and proposes fix ready code.
- Repositories on GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket
- Merge policy set by vistraXa
- Fixes worked through with your developers until closure is verified
Solves Known risk that ships anyway
-
Pipeline integration and audit evidence
Tests run from your pipeline through the API and SDK, with a usage cap on every test.
- Requirement packs for AWS Well Architected, NIST CSF, and PCI DSS
- Mapping extended to UAE and Saudi frameworks as advisory alignment
- Reports that export cleanly for audit
Solves Testing that is rationed
How an engagement runs
Discovery and assessment
Agree scope, rules of engagement, residency, and cadence for one production application.
Design
Turn the threat model into security requirements, a test plan, and a merge policy.
Build
Connect testing to your pipeline and work fixes through with your developers until closure holds.
Enable and hand over
Hand over the configuration, pipeline integration, and runbooks, with your team trained to run the cycle.
Scope and commercial model are tailored to your requirement.
Why vistraXa
Built on two decades of enterprise technology and security

AI as mechanism, not adjective
The agent does the labour heavy discovery and exploitation, and senior review decides what it means for your business.
Security as a design input
Findings are fixed at the cause in identity, secrets, network, and pipeline.
Capability transfer
Engagements finish with configuration as code, runbooks, and a client team able to run the cycle, Continuum included.

Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to run an AI agent against our applications, and where does our data sit?
Continuum tests only targets whose ownership you have verified, with credentials you can revoke, and test logs stay in your own AWS account. Before any test runs, vistraXa checks Continuum's processing Regions against your residency obligations and agrees scope with you in writing.
Do our applications have to run on AWS?
No. An AWS account is required to run Continuum, but it tests applications on AWS, other clouds, on premises, and hybrid estates.
Will our regulator or auditor accept this?
vistraXa maps the evidence to UAE and Saudi frameworks as advisory alignment. Where a scheme requires a human assessment by an accredited testing provider, that assessment stays with an accredited provider, and the record from this engagement makes it faster.
What does it cost?
AWS bills Continuum usage to your own AWS account, with a cap on every test. vistraXa prices its advisory and delivery work as a defined project, and the full cost picture is confirmed before you commit.
